
Arindam Nandi is a post-doctoral scholar at the Center for Disease Dynamics, Economics and Policy (CDDEP). His primary research interests are development economics, applied microeconomics and health economics. His recent work has focused on the economics of gender in India, including sex-selective abortions, child health and education, and related public policy. At CDDEP, his current research engagements involve the economics of tobacco and disease control.
In the past, he has worked with the World Bank on poverty reduction and economic management in India, and with the newly founded University of California Global Health Institute. Arindam received his Ph.D. in Economics from University of California, Riverside.
