Susmita Chatterjee is a Post-doctoral Scholar at CDDEP.  Her research interests include economic burden studies and the cost-effectiveness of different interventions.  She previously worked as an Economist at the National Institute of Cholera and Enteric Diseases, Kolkata.  Her past projects include studying the private demand for cholera and typhoid vaccines in Kolkata and their cost effectiveness as well as assessing the impact of HIV targeted interventions in India. In 2008, she was the recipient of an Asia Fellows Award grant from the Asian Scholarship Foundation in Bangkok, Thailand for research on the economic valuation of diabetes and its consequences in Thailand. She completed her Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Calcutta, India.
