A new publication, “Global increase and geographic convergence in antibiotic consumption between 2000 and 2015,” published March 26, 2018 in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Science (PNAS), received widespread media attention as the first comprehensive assessment of global trends in antibiotic consumption.  Using data on global sales of antibiotics for use in humans, Eili Klein, led a group of researchers from CDDEP, Princeton University, and the University of Antwerp in analyzing trends in low-, middle-, and high-income countries.

CDDEP is pleased to share news coverage and commentary from NPR, The Guardian, El Pais, Daily Mail, and The Economist. The paper also received media attention in Vietnam, Nepal, South Africa, Argentina, Indonesia, India, Ireland, Turkey, Italy, New Zealand, and numerous other countries.
